
Marika Korpinen
DIRECTOR OF PERFORMANCE
Marika has been involved in sports her whole life: first as an athlete and now as a coach dedicated to helping others reach their potential. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Nutrition and a Master’s in Kinesiology from George Mason University, where her research focused on lower-body strength asymmetries in female athletes.
She has worked with NFL and collegiate athletes on return-to-sport testing and collaborates with other performance professionals to help athletes get back to performing at an elite level. Her coaching combines science and practical experience to help athletes grow both on and off the field.
A former Division I basketball player and team captain at George Mason, Marika led her team in scoring her senior year and represented Finland on the youth and women’s national teams. She now competes in professional ultimate frisbee with DC Shadow - PUL champions - and DC Scandal, one of the top club teams in the country. Outside of competition, you’ll find her testing new training methods or preparing for her next HYROX event.
