Karla Lovato

PERFORMANCE TRAINER

Karla brings a diverse background in sports performance, strength and conditioning, and exercise science to Quantum Movement. She earned her B.S. in Behavior and Health from Boston University and has gained experience across both collegiate and private-sector settings, including NCAA and Ivy League athletics, as well as Cressey Sports Performance. Her work has ranged from training large teams to providing individualized performance programs for athletes.

In addition to her work in sports performance, Karla serves in exercise oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping individuals currently undergoing cancer treatment and survivors build strength, resilience, and confidence through movement. Her experience spans a variety of sports, including baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and softball.

Growing up, Karla was a competitive soccer player and swimmer, specializing in butterfly and individual medley. She later discovered powerlifting while in college and went on to compete at the national level in April 2025.

As a coach, Karla believes sports and training are about more than athletic performance. She is passionate about helping athletes build confidence in their abilities, develop resilience, and grow into well-rounded individuals. Her goal is to create an environment where athletes not only perform at a higher level but also carry the lessons learned through sport into every aspect of their lives.
